ABOUT OUR IT TEAM
We’re looking for a Software Architect to join our agile development team in Luxembourg, part of a dynamic, multinational group of 10 IT professionals. In this high-impact technical role, you'll lead the architectural direction of our back-end systems, shaping the foundation of scalable, modern logistics solutions used across Europe and beyond.
You’ll be responsible for designing robust systems, ensuring long-term technical scalability, and collaborating closely with development teams and business stakeholders to align architecture with product goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES YOU WILL OWN
- Designing and evolving scalable and maintainable back-end architecture for core logistics platforms
- Translating complex business requirements into clean, scalable, and modular system designs
- Driving architectural decisions and defining technical standards, patterns, and best practices
- Overseeing the technical quality of backend development, ensuring performance and reliability
- Guiding and mentoring developers on architectural approaches and solution design
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, QA, Ops, Finance, etc.) to align systems with business goals
- Conducting design reviews, contributing to DevOps and CI/CD process improvements
- Evaluating and integrating new technologies to future-proof platform capabilities
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
- 10+ years of experience in backend development with at least 2+ years in a system design or architectural role
- Strong background in PHP 7+ and Symfony (or similar backend frameworks)
- Proven experience designing distributed, scalable, and secure systems
- Deep understanding of software design patterns, OOP, and performance optimization
- Solid experience with MySQL, Git (GitFlow), unit testing, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
- Working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu), shell scripting, and basic AWS services
- Familiarity with system documentation and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic, business-oriented mindset
